2019 Crown Northampton Lookbook

For the 2019 Crown Northampton lookbook we chose to shoot in the iconic '78 Derngate'. This historic address marks the location of the only house in Britain to be designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. (1868 – 1928).
A unique property boasting a variety of rooms, each individually designed by the Scottish architect, designer, and artist. Inspired and influenced from locations around the world, 78 Derngate is a truly iconic Northampton landmark.

Charles Rennie Macintosh produced some of the most inventive decorative art and graphic design of his period. He believed that the architect was responsible not just for the fabric of a building, but for every detail of its interior design.

His eclectic mix of styles and influences ranged from traditional Japanese domestic interiors to the use of primary colours and geometric motifs. All of which made him one of the most outstanding and forward-thinking creatives of his time.
