The Upton is a handmade premium sneaker with wholecut construction made from a one piece leather upper. A clean-cut style with hidden stitching throughout, the Upton draws inspiration from classic dress shoe design and is finished with minimal eyelet detailing and a soft padded collar. The sneaker collection is handmade to order in our Northampton, England factory using only the finest leathers sourced from some of the best tanneries in the world such as CF Stead in Leeds, England and the Horween Company in Chicago, USA. Fully lined with luxuriously soft natural leather, complete with extremely comfortable hand finished Crown Northampton insoles. The custom made Crown Northampton sole unit offers strength, durability and comfort all in a lightweight base which is then securely attached with sidewall stitching, allowing for resoling in our factory at a later date if required. Further details include a Crown embossed padded tongue, premium waxed laces, handwritten internal style notes and an extra set of insoles that can be placed underneath the existing insoles to help tailor the fit if necessary. Handmade to order in Northampton, England.

Considered an exotic material, each hide of Naked Kudu is one of a kind. The natural scars and imperfections on small skins make it one of the most challenging for our clickers to cut. But this is what makes Naked Kudu sneakers so unique, every pair will have its own individual character. An extremely dense fiber structure means great natural water resistance whilst the back of the hide features some of the softest and most durable suede of any animal hide.

The four main shoemaking stages once an order is placed...

    Clicking

The ‘clicking’ or cutting process as it is also known is the very start of your shoes being made, the leather is cut into the shapes that make up your silhouette either by hand or on a press.

    Closing

Once all the components of the shoe are cut they go through several processes that are essential to the construction then they are sewn together to make the upper.

    Lasting

A last is a template form that is unique to each shoe size and style, the upper is pulled onto the last to give it the final shape of the shoe ready for a sole to be fitted. Once the sole is fitted the shoe will have it’s complete form.

    Shoe Rooming

The final stage of the factory process your shoes go through the hands of our quality checkers and the finish is applied to the leather or suede to finish the shoe and ensure it looks it’s absolute best.
