With all of our products specifically made to order; overstocking and therefore excess product is reduced to zero. Add to this our unique resoling service on all sneaker products that further maximises wear time and overall lifespan. For these reasons we only use world class materials.
Working with Horween Company leathers, we have produced a collection of winter ready Overstone Hi Derby and Abington Hi Toe Cap models. Known for their signature blends of oils and greases that create unique finishes and stunning patinas through wear. The Horween Company is also a fifth generation family owned business that started in 1905, USA. They are known as the best in the business when it comes to supremely hard wearing leathers, that only get better and softer with each wear. The Crown Northampton Horween Hi collection utilises leathers from Horween’s Chromexcel, Cavalier and Essex ranges.
Our lookbook explores the beauty of natural materials through ageing, patinas and colour palettes created through exposure to the elements. These naturally occurring processes develop and evolve in their own time and are affected by their constantly changing environment. Core characteristics that are also shared with the Horween company leathers, proving the best results are often achieved through patience and perseverance
Sometimes slower is better. Individually made to order product does take more time and requires added patience; but slower, considered craftsmanship has always made sense for Crown Northampton - naturally.
The Crown Northampton Horween Hi Collection is available to order in the Overstone Hi Derby and Abington Hi Toe Cap styles. All styles from the collection are made with a durable Horween leather upper, sat atop a custom made rubber sole. Finished with natural leather lining and soft, shock-absorbing footbed. Known for their exclusive Chromexcel, Cavalier, Essex and Shell Cordovan leather collections, Horween leathers have a soft and smooth handle, restoring itself when marked. It also has extreme longevity and wears in over time, creating beautifully unique patinas. Crown Northampton is honored to work with leathers from the world class Horween Company tannery.
